Cedar Break Farms ~ Turkish Boz Shepherds

We've had Turkish Boz Shepherds since 2010 and can't imagine being without them.

They guard goats, heritage hogs, free range birds, our odd assortment of horses, cattle, a donkey, and grandkids.

The Turkish Boz Shepherd is a livestock guardian that has retained its primitive and instinctual intelligence, and innate guarding and protecting qualities, as a regional landrace variant; a distinguishing quality of the breed.  He is loyal, gentle, and dedicated to his family and flock.  As a livestock guardian, when he senses a true threat, he will defend and ensure the safety and survival of his family and flock with incredible power, strength, and intelligence.  It is this DEFENSE NATURE that fundamentally motivates him to PROTECT

Our dogs are around stock from the time they are born. They are socialized with goats, heritage hogs, turkeys and chickens, cows, horses, family and all the frequent visitors we have to our small but working farm.  They come up to date on current recommended vaccinations and worming appropriate for our area and the area they are going to and they will have the documentation and paperwork you need for registration with WAD through The Turkish Dog Federation.

~ We are no longer breeding Turkish Boz Shepherds, but are happy to talk about them if you have question ~

If you are shopping, please reach out to Tammy at Drakainas Farm for availability. She is continuing our program with the best of our pups in combination with proven working lines from across the US.
